BON AIR BASEBALL LEAGUE creates unique summer baseball league.

The Bon Air Baseball League announces the creation of a new summer league to serve the developmental needs of top players.

The SIM LEAGUE will offer simulated game opportunities to its members every Wednesday night (weather permitting) at the James River High School baseball complex in Midlothian, Virginia. The games are designed to let pitchers and hitters face off in a simulated game without the trappings of a competitive game. The SIM LEAGUE is expected to appeal to a variety of players including those looking to test newly developed skills or those trying to return to playing form following an injury or long layoff.

Look Who's Playing (SIM A Games):

• Professional Players: Recently released players who want to stay sharp while waiting to sign with another affilated or independent league team.
• College Players: Players not playing in a summer wood bat league who want to stay sharp over the summer. Players look to test their progress as they return to throwing/playing following an injury. Includes D1, D2, D3, juco players
• Rising College Freshman: Players not playing competitively in the summer between high school and freshman year in college. League offers opportunity to set your own schedule and keep weekends open.
• Rising High School juniors/seniors who are committed to play in college: Once committed, high school players often want to improve a specific area like adding a new pitch or improving ability to hit to all fields.
• Pitchers interested in working on new pitches, tweaking mechanics, building arm strength, improving command.
• Hitters interested in working on switch hitting, new swing mechanics, timing, improving situational hitting. Baserunning is optional.
• Participants are welcome to take up fielding positions and work on playmaking skills individually or in pair

Professional scouts, player agents, college coaches, and professional instructors are expected to find the SIM League format a useful place to evaluate player readiness. Additionally, while no umpires are provided or needed for a simulated game we expect umpires looking to improve ball/strike recognition will also find the SIM League to be a valuable training ground.

SIM League A Games Eligibility: Professional players, college players, 2015 high school grads, rising high school juniors and seniors who are committed to colleges.

SIM League B Games Eligibility: Uncommitted players ages 16-18

SIM League C Games Eligibility: Ages 13-15
